日本では、年賀状を書く時期です。
（にほんでは、ねんがじょうを かく じき です）
みなさんは、どんな新年の挨拶をしますか。
（みなさんは、どんな しんねんの あいさつを しますか）
今日は、日本の年賀状の書き方をご紹介します！
（きょうは、にほんの ねんがじょうの かきかたを ごしょうかいます）
Christmas has gone and now we have only 5 days to the year-end.
It is the time to write new-years-cards in Japan.
How do you greet people for the new year in your country?
I will introduce you how to write a Japanese style new-years-card today.

まず、お祝いの言葉「賀詞」を大きく書きます。
（まず、おいわいの ことば 「がし」を おおきく かきます）
「賀詞」には、色々あります。
（「がし」には、いろいろあります）
例えば、「謹賀新年」や「恭賀新春」です。
（たとえば、「きんがしんねん」や「きょうがしんしゅん」です）
「賀正」や「迎春」も賀詞ですが、
（「がしょう」や 「げいしゅん」も がしですが、）
短い賀詞は、目上の人には書きません。
（みじかい がしは、めうえの ひとには かきません）
「あけましておめでとうございます」も賀詞です。
（「あけましておめでとうございます」も がしです）
賀詞は、一つだけ書きます。
（がしは、ひとつだけ かきます）
「謹賀新年」のあとに「あけましておめでとう」と書くと
（「きんがしんねん」のあとに あけましておめでとう」とかくと）
意味が重複してしまいますから気をつけましょう。
（いみが ちょうふくしてしまいますから、きをつけましょう）
First, you write Gashi, the celebration word, largely.
There are many different Gashi.
For example, "respectfully, celebrate the new year" or
"reverentially celebrate the new spring" are common ones.
"Celebration on new years day" and "Welcome Spring" are Gashi, too,
but you do not want to use short Gashi to your superiors. It is less polite.
"Happy new year" is also Gashi.
You should have one Gashi on one nengajo.
If you write "あけましておめでとう" after "謹賀新年",
then that is redundant. Please be careful!
次に、2014年にお世話になったことを感謝して、
（つぎに、2014ねんに おせわになったことを かんしゃして）
2015年にお世話になる事にも感謝して、
（2015ねんに おせわになることにも かんしゃして）
相手の幸せや健康を祈ります。
（あいての しあわせや けんこうを いのります）
Then, you thank the person for their kindness through the year 2014,
you thank the person in advance for the continual friendship in year 2015,
then wish the person's good health and good luck.
You may write something like....
「昨年中（さくねんちゅう）は、たいへんおせわになりました。
本年（ほんねん）も、どうぞよろしくおねがいいたします。
みなさまのご健康（けんこう）とご多幸（たこう）をお祈（いの）りします。」
それから、絵があると、きれいです。
（それから、えが あると きれいです）
干支の動物や
（えとの どうぶつや）
松竹梅など縁起のいい植物の絵がいいです。
（しょうちくばいなど えんぎのいい しょくぶつの えが いいです）
Then, if you could have a picture, it will make the card beautiful.
The animal of the year or
auspicious plants like pine tree, bamboo tree and plum tree would be good.
最後に、少し近況を書いて、
（さいごに、すこし きんきょうを かいて）
2015年元旦と書いて、出来上がりです！
（2015ねん がんたんと かいて、できあがりです！）
At last, you may write a little about your news,
and put "2015 Jan. 1st". It is done!
