Tanabata is a festival held on July 7th or August 7th.
七夕の日、ベガとアルタイルの二つの星が会えると言われています。
（たなばた の ひ、 べが と あるたいる の ふたつ の ほし が あえる と いわれています。）
On the day of Tanabata, 2 stars, Vega and Altair, are said to be able to meet each other.
ベガは織姫と考えられ、アルタイルは彦星と考えられています。
（べが は おりひめ と かんがえられ、 あるたいる は ひこぼし と かんがえられています。）
Vega is considered as the Weaver Star, Princess Orihime and Altair is considered as the Cowherd Star, Prince Hikoboshi.
織姫と彦星は愛し合っていますが、会いたいという願いは、年に一度この日に、叶います。
（おりひめ と ひこぼし は あいしあっています が、 あいたい という ねがい は、ねん に いちど この ひ に、かないます。）
Princess Orihime and Prince Hikoboshi love each other but their wish to meet each other come true once a year on this day.
人々は小さい色紙に願いを書き、この日に笹の葉につるします。
（ひとびと は ちいさい いろがみ に ねがい を かき、この ひ に ささのは に つるします。）
People write their wish on small colored papers and hang them on bamboo branches on this day.
