今日は、「七」がつく慣用句をご紹介します！
（きょうは、「なな」がつく かんようくを ごしょうかいします）
today we will introduce you the idiom with #7!
まず、「七転八倒」（しちてんばっとう）
七: seven ＋ 転: rolling ＋ 八: eight ＋ 倒: fall over
the pain you have is so hard like all you can do is rolling and falling over
eg) 彼は、病室で、七転八倒していた。
（かれは、びょうしつで しちてんばっとうしていた）
He was in agonies
on his bed in the hospital.
次に、「無くて七癖」（なくてななくせ）
無くて：at least ＋ 七：seven ＋ 癖：bad habit
everyone has at least seven bad habits. (No one is perfect)
eg) 「無くて七癖」というから、私にも悪いところがあるのだろう
（「なくてななくせ」というから、わたしにも わるいところが あるのだろう）
Considering "no one is perfect", I guess I have some bad habits myself as well)
更に、「親の七光り」（おやのななひかり）
親：parent ＋ 七：seven ＋ 光：light
to take advantage of parent's social status or good reputation
eg) あの人が専務なんて、親の七光りだね。
(あのひとが せんむなんて、おやの ななひかりだね）
Him being in the managing director position is just because of his parent.
それから、「色の白いは七難隠す」（いろのしろいは、しちなんかくす）
色の白い：has white skin color ＋ 七難：seven bad points ＋ 隠す：hide
having a fair complexion makes seven faults nothing
eg) 色白の彼女は、かわいく見える。色の白いは七難隠すなあ。
（いろじろの かのじょは かわいく みえる。いろの しろいは しちなん かくすなあ）
She looks cute just with her fair complexion. It really hide her other faults...
最後に、「七転び八起き」（ななころびやおき）
七：seven ＋ 転：fell over ＋ 八：eight ＋ 起：get up
If you fell over seven times, you should get up eight time. (Never give up!!)
eg) まだくじけてはいけない！七転び八起きだ！
（まだ くじけてはいけない！ななころびやおきだ！）
You should not be discouraged yet. Never give up!
